How do I check for feed in power problems?

How do I check for feed in power problems?

Overview:
Feed-in power issues—where the main AC supply or primary power input to the LED screen system is unstable, insufficient, or interrupted—are a common root cause of display faults.

Symptoms

·       Entire screen does not power on.

·       All status lights are off across the screen, power supplies, and control cards.

·       Intermittent or random shutdowns of the whole display.

·       Visible flicker or dimming across all modules simultaneously.

·       Power supply status LEDs flicker, blink, or cycle off/on.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Check Main Power Source

·       Confirm the wall outlet or circuit is delivering the correct voltage.

·       If qualified, use a multimeter to measure voltage at the input terminal.

·       Test the outlet with another device.

2. Inspect Power Cables and Connections

·       Examine all AC power cables for damage, loose plugs, or signs of overheating.

·       Ensure all connections from the power source to the power supply units are secure.

·       Replace any damaged cables immediately.

3. Check Circuit Breakers and Fuses

·       Locate the breaker or fuse protecting the LED screen circuit.

·       Reset tripped breakers or replace blown fuses.

·       If a breaker/fuse trips repeatedly, disconnect the screen and investigate further.

4. Evaluate Power Supply Units (PSUs)

·       Status Lights:

o  Green LED On: PSU is receiving and outputting power normally.

o  Green LED Off: No incoming power or PSU failure—check the feed-in side.

o  Blinking LED: PSU may be overloaded or experiencing a short—disconnect load and check for faults.

·       If all PSUs are off, the problem is likely with the feed-in power.

·       If only some PSUs are off, check distribution wiring and PSU health.

5. Assess Environmental Factors

·       Inspect for water ingress, excessive dust, or corrosion at power entry points.

·       Ensure the power source is not overloaded by other high-draw equipment.

6. Test with an Alternate Power Source

·       Temporarily connect the screen to a different known-good power circuit.

7. Seek Professional Help

·       If the feed-in power issue persists after these steps, contact Aurora for support.
